EC3N

Mobile tyre fitting in Aldgate

For Aldgate, we come to the car or van. The tyre comes off the wheel when a puncture might be saved. If it cannot, a matching tyre is fitted where the vehicle is already standing.

What EC3N refers to

EC3N is in the City and its fringe. EC is the City of London, Clerkenwell, and the streets around Old Street and Farringdon. Loading bays and red routes decide whether a jack can go down.

If the car is in EC3N, you may be in Tower Hill (EC3N) rather than Aldgate. Give the street.

The locking wheel nut in Aldgate

A large share of delays on a EC3N call-out are missing locking wheel nut keys, not missing tyres. Before you call from Aldgate, look in the glovebox, the boot wallet, and the service book. If the key is lost, say that at the start. The visit can still happen, but the time and the method change, and you should hear that before anyone sets off.

Tread or sidewall in Aldgate

A nail in the central tread can often be repaired once the tyre is off the wheel. A cut, bubble, or cord in the sidewall cannot. That rule does not change because the car is in Aldgate. If you can see the damage from a safe place, describe it. EC3N only tells us where to drive. The tyre decides the repair.

What EC3N does to the clock

Arrival in Aldgate is the drive from a free technician plus the traffic on that route. We do not publish a minute count for EC3N. You get a window on the phone, and you can decline it. Night, school-run, and match-day traffic are different journeys even when the postcode is the same.
