Can every flat tyre in WD4 be repaired on the street?

No. A repair in WD4 is only suitable when the damage is in the central tread and the tyre can come off the wheel for an internal patch. Sidewall cuts in Chipperfield are replacements.

Does WD4 mean you will arrive in a fixed number of minutes?

No. Traffic in Watford, and how far the technician has to travel, set the time for WD4. We tell you that time before you accept it.

What should I say when I call from WD4?

Say the street in Chipperfield, the code WD4, what the tyre looks like, and whether you have the locking wheel nut key. A photo helps if you can take one safely.

Arranging the visit in Chipperfield

Legal tread is separate from the puncture

UK tyres need at least 1.6 mm of tread across the central three-quarters of the width, all the way round. Patching a bald tyre in Chipperfield does not make it legal. If the tread on the WD4 car is already on the wear bars, expect a replacement quote, not a repair quote.

What to have ready in Chipperfield

Have the registration, a mobile number that you will answer, and the outward code WD4 confirmed against the vehicle, not against a guess. If you use what3words, give the words as well as the postcode. Stay with the car. A technician cannot start on a vehicle that nobody can identify.
