One axle, not one corner

If the other tyre on the same axle in Harborne is much more worn, a single new tyre can upset braking in the wet. We will say so before you pay. The speed and load codes on the sidewall have to match what the car was given. B17 does not change the axle. It only changes the drive.

What to have ready in Harborne

Have the registration, a mobile number that you will answer, and the outward code B17 confirmed against the vehicle, not against a guess. If you use what3words, give the words as well as the postcode. Stay with the car. A technician cannot start on a vehicle that nobody can identify.

Fleet vans that return to Harborne

A van that must be back on a round in Harborne needs the size and the load index confirmed first. Guessing from a similar van is how the wrong tyre arrives in B17. If several vehicles on the same yard need work, list them. One visit can cover more than one wheel when the stock is right.

Booking Harborne

Match-day closures around B17 belong in the first phone call. The load index on a B17 van tyre is read before stock is chosen. A photo of the B17 damage should be taken only from a safe place. What3words plus B17 is better than a district name on its own.
