Can every flat tyre in B29 be repaired on the street?

No. A repair in B29 is only suitable when the damage is in the central tread and the tyre can come off the wheel for an internal patch. Sidewall cuts in Selly Park are replacements.

Does B29 mean you will arrive in a fixed number of minutes?

No. Traffic in Birmingham, and how far the technician has to travel, set the time for B29. We tell you that time before you accept it.

What should I say when I call from B29?

Say the street in Selly Park, the code B29, what the tyre looks like, and whether you have the locking wheel nut key. A photo helps if you can take one safely.

Where a jack can stand in Selly Park

In Selly Park the useful question is the surface under the vehicle, not the district slogan. A flat driveway, a marked bay, or a quiet side street lets the technician raise the car. A camber, a soft verge, or a live lane does not. If you are in B29 and the first spot is unsafe, say so. Moving one street is better than abandoning the job.

When Selly Park is the wrong kind of job

A car stuck in a live lane of a motorway is a recovery problem before it is a tyre problem. If that is where you are, even if the nearest district is Selly Park, get somewhere safe or call the motorway authority. We fit and repair tyres where a jack can stand. We do not pretend B29 includes the inside of a running lane.

Booking Selly Park

A B29 enquiry with no postcode on the vehicle is not enough to route the van. If the tyre in Selly Park has already been plugged once, say so. Then A locked underground car park in Selly Park needs someone who can open it. Mixed tread across an axle in Selly Park is mentioned before anyone pays.
