Can every flat tyre in SG2 be repaired on the street?

No. A repair in SG2 is only suitable when the damage is in the central tread and the tyre can come off the wheel for an internal patch. Sidewall cuts in Stevenage are replacements.

Does SG2 mean you will arrive in a fixed number of minutes?

No. Traffic in Stevenage, and how far the technician has to travel, set the time for SG2. We tell you that time before you accept it.

What should I say when I call from SG2?

Say the street in Stevenage, the code SG2, what the tyre looks like, and whether you have the locking wheel nut key. A photo helps if you can take one safely.

Tread or sidewall in Stevenage

A nail in the central tread can often be repaired once the tyre is off the wheel. A cut, bubble, or cord in the sidewall cannot. That rule does not change because the car is in Stevenage. If you can see the damage from a safe place, describe it. SG2 only tells us where to drive. The tyre decides the repair.

Run-flat tyres in Stevenage

A run-flat that has been driven while flat is often beyond a repair, even when the hole looks small. If the car in Stevenage showed a pressure warning and you kept going, say how far. We would rather price a replacement for SG2 than promise a patch the tyre cannot take.

Red routes, bays, and Stevenage

Stopping restrictions in Stevenage are part of the job. A red route, a bus lane, or a private car park with clamping can make a legal repair impossible where you first stopped. SG2 still has side streets and driveways. Tell us which entrance to use if the vehicle is at work.

Booking Stevenage

School-run traffic changes the Stevenage arrival even when the postcode stays the same. A space-saver already fitted in Stevenage does not end the need for a proper tyre. Stay with the car in Stevenage so the technician can identify it. Height barriers on car parks in Stevenage stop some vans.
